6dass die erlosten Vorsitzenden für die kommende Volksversammlung
7hierüber verhandeln lassen und die Beschlussvorlage des Rates
8in die Volksversammlung einbringen, wonach der Rat es für gut befindet, dass man belobige
9- - - und bekränze mit goldenem
10Kranz wegen seiner Leistung und seines Wohlwollens, das er stets
11gegenüber dem Rat und dem Volk der Athener hegt, und man
12verkündige diesen Kranz an den Dionysien in der Stadt bei den
13Tragödien-Uraufführungen und an den Panathenäen und Eleusinien bei den
14Sportwettkämpfen; dass man ihm auch das Bürgerrecht verleihe und
15ihn einschreibe in Phyle und Demos und Phratrie, die er will; dass
16die Thesmotheten, sobald sie die Gerichtshöfe auf fünfundert und einen
17Richter aufgefüllt haben, die Prüfung dieser Ehrung für ihn
18einleiten; dass er auch in Zukunft, wenn er
19sein Wohlwollen gegenüber den Athenern nach Kräften mehrt, damit rechnen kann,
20mit größeren (Ehrungen) geehrt zu werden, dem Volk angemessen; dass für die Anfertigung
21des Kranzes und die Verkündigung Sorge tragen
22die Generäle; dass diesen Beschluss auf eine steinerne
23Stele der Sekretär, der während der Prytanie amtiert, aufzeichne und
24aufstelle auf der Akropolis; dass die für sie (= die Stele) entstandenen Kosten
25der Schatzmeister der Militärkasse begleiche.

5- - - for good fortune, the Council shall decide,
6that the presiding committee allotted for the forthcoming Assembly
7shall put these matters on the agenda, and submit to the opinion
8of the Council to the People, that it seems good to the Council to praise
9- - - and crown him with a
10[gold crown for his excellence] and the goodwill that he continues to have
11towards the Athenian Council and People, and to announce
12the crown at the City Dionysia in the new
13tragedies and at the Panathenaia and the Eleusinia in the gymnastic
14competitions; and he shall be granted citizenship and be
15enrolled in the tribe and deme and phratry that he wishes; and the
16court presidents, when they fill the courts with the five hundred and one
17jurors, shall introduce the scrutiny of his
18grant; and on his augmenting in the future his
19good will towards the Athenians, as far as he may be able, he may be
20honoured worthily by the People with other greater honours; and
21the generals shall take care of the making and announcement
22of the crown; and the prytany secretary shall inscribe this decree
23on a stone stele and stand it
24on the acropolis; and the treasurer [of the military fund]
25shall allocate [the expenditure] accrued [for it].
